16th Annual Walk-a-thon is here!!

 

Thanks to our PTO, each student, teachers and staff members will all receive a FREE shirt! 
 

Every year in October Bel-Aire Elementary students participate in Walk-a-Thon to help raise money for our school. It is one of two major fundraisers we hold every year with the Book Fair being the second.

 

Last year we raised over $40,000 through generous corporate, family and individual donations.  Walk-a-Thon is a fun event that not only raises money for our school but supports growing minds and bodies through exercise. Watch for information about Walk-a-Thon in your child's take home folder in the Fall each year.

Local businesses can support Walk-a-Thon by becoming a corporate sponsor and friends and family can support our "walkers" through financial pledges. 

​

We love to feature our business supporters on our annual Walk-a-thon t-shirt that the students wear.

​This year we are excited to announce that not only are we taking cash and check donations, but also offering an online platform! 

Businesses will be able to do credit card payments through PayPal!

Since we are a 501(c) EVERY donation is a tax exemption for them!

  • 10/19/23- Early Bird Collection for a chance to win a free Chick-Fil-A Kids Meal

  • 10/23/23- Monday after race

  • 10/27/23- Final Collection Day (in person)

  • 10/30/23- Last Day for Online Donations

• Level 5 - 250.00 in donations- Cookie Decorating Party with Sami Kay Cookies

• Level 6 - 500.00 in donations- Extreme Games - Tullahoma Gymnastics (bring a friend) 

• Level 7 - 750.00 in donations - Bowling Party- Tullahoma Lanes (bring a friend)

• Level 8- 1,000.00 in donations- Year membership from choice of Zoo, Aquarium or Splash Island 

Grade Level Winners-

• Top Raiser in EACH grade will earn $50 cash!

 ( Top 3 raisers in each grade will be recognized and presented a certificate) 

 
Classroom Goals:

• Every Classroom that hits their 100% goal will receive an Extended Recess

• Every classroom that hits their 200% goal will receive a Popsicle Party

• Top class per (K-2) & (3-5) wins a Pizza OR Ice Cream Party

• Top class SCHOOL WIDE will win a bounce house party

 
School Goal: $45,000

• If we hit this goal Dr Epley will take a pie to the face from the TOP RAISER! 

​How To Secure Donations
 
In order to help you raise donations, below are some tips and suggestions for getting your friends and family to sponsor your donation drive. Students, be sure to thank your sponsors for supporting your efforts to raise money for our school and earn great prizes and incentives. It’s those people who make a difference in our community. Remind everyone that donations and sponsorships are 100% tax deductible. (All checks are payable to Bel-Aire Elementary PTO.)
 

• Write down a list of family, friends, neighbors and your parents’ co-workers who might sponsor you.

• Practice asking for donations by contacting your family members first.

• Contact everyone on your list. The more people you contact, the more donations you will get.

• Send out Emails, Texts and Post to Social Media

• Always be courteous. Thank everyone you ask whether they give a donation of money or not.
